As an architect, I love painting homes and other special places. I would be delighted to work with you to create an original watercolor painting (not a print), featuring a place that is meaningful to you. Original art is a great way to create a memory of a home, wedding venue, or travel memory. Custom paintings also make unique gifts to give on the celebration of a home purchase, housewarming, wedding, anniversary, birthday, or other special occasion.

How it works

1. Purchase the Etsy listing for a custom painting.

2. Simply email {janesloss@gmail.com} or send via Etsy message a clear set of photos of your home. Photos taken from different angles and of details are helpful. Send along any comments you wish when you send the pictures (i.e. - what to eliminate and/or what to add).

3. I'll contact you if I require additional information. Once the initial drawing is complete, I’ll e-mail you a digital image. This is a good time to make changes.

4. I’ll complete the watercolor and send a photo, for your review.

5. Finally, I ship it to you.

Painting are available in a variety of sizes, from 3”x3” to 16”x20.” Don’t see the size you want? Just reach out, I’m happy to set up a custom listing

The final product is a watercolor painting on Arches Watercolor Paper.

I can also help if you’d like to have postcards, invitations, or notecards prints made featuring your painting, just message me.

The painting will ship within two weeks after receiving the photographs. If you need the painting done more quickly, please message me and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.

I create custom ornaments, which feature an original painting of your home or another special home. The ornament is hand drawn and painted, by me. These ornaments make a nice holiday housewarming present or a gift to remember a special home. The ornament could feature your childhood home, the lake home you went to every summer, or your first home with a significant other. I have made ornaments for new home owners, realtors, children gifting parents, parents gifting children, and many others.

The ornament is hand lettered with the personalization you provide. The ornament measures approximately 3" x 3" and is painted on a watercolor board. It comes ready to hang with hanging cord (you pick the color) and an ornament hook. Visit my Etsy Shop to learn more.
